This is Eureka Springs.
A place where the air smells like paint, pie, and possibility. Where inspiration doesn't just knock, it throws glitter in your face, sings show tunes and offers you a locally brewed kombucha.
Perched in the Ozarks, (yes, the kind of place where you half expect a hobbit to pop out and offer you a handmade leather wallet,) there exists a town so full of color, creativity, and caffeinated genius, it practically sparkles.
No, really. I'm not kidding.
We’re basically a disco ball in a forest.

In a town this tiny and this wildly diverse, it’s nearly impossible to count how many people consider themselves artists and artisans here in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Culinary creators, poets, painters, musicians, opera singers, dancers, weavers, sculptors ... the list goes on, and the magic multiplies. These makers, these doers, these visionaries, are the very soul of Eureka Springs.

And if there’s one time of year when that spirit bursts into a tapestry of technicolor brilliance, it’s May.
Welcome to our May Festival of the Arts!
This. Is. It.
In May, every May, we unleash the full, glorious, tie-dye-drenched hullabaloo of our artist community. It’s like someone yelled “Go!” at a unicorn convention and then gave everyone acrylics and tap shoes.
We’re talking:
Painters painting in alleyways
Street performers busking their hearts out
Crocheted trees
Opera in parking lots
Culinary artists whipping up five-course meals for guests in treehouses
Neighborhood art, sidewalk chalk, spinning pottery wheels, singing mailmen, you name it!
If it makes noise, color, or emotion, someone here in Eureka Springs is doing it.
In May. Loudly. And With love.

Kicking It Off: The ArtRageous Parade
Saturday, May 3 | 2:00 PM | Downtown Eureka
This isn’t just a parade, it’s a confetti-powered, kazoo-playing, stilt-walking manifestation of creativity. Floats! Marching bands! Dogs in berets! If Dr. Seuss had a block party and invited Burning Man, it would be this.

White Street Studio Walk
Friday, May 16, 2025 | 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM | White Street
This beloved, only-in-Eureka event is a true local favorite.
For one magical evening, White Street transforms into an open-air art district. Artists set up shop in front yards, driveways, porches, and even open their studios and homes to the public.

Imagine walking down a historic street where every porch has turned into an art gallery, every lawn into a stage, and every driveway into an explosion of color. Jewelry? Yep. Crochet? Oh yeah. Oil paintings, pottery, poetry, poodles wearing pastels? YES.
The artists open their actual homes ... you walk in, you feel their vibe, maybe adopt a cat named Picasso. Who knows? Magic happens on White Street.

And yes, we even have meat curing art
Not kidding. Here in Eureka, we’ve got folks who cure meats like it’s performance art. It’s called Eureka Charcuterie and it’s what happens when your salami has a soul. Check out this blog-post for more information.

Everything is Art.
Everyone is Welcome.

From sculptors and sketchers to tap-dancers and tarot card readers, we don’t care what you do as long as you show up and show us the art in your heart.
You’ve got a ukulele? Play it.
You’ve got a paintbrush? Wield it like Excalibur.
You’ve got a dream? Let’s make it real weird and really wonderful.
Oh, baby. It’s bursting with events here this May. Click the link above, grab your calendar, and clear the whole month.
