Pitstop: Eureka Springs!

Many consider Autumn to be the most majestic time of the year and so many people wait longingly to pumpkin spice up their life all over again as gorgeous colors vibrantly encore the end of summer, comfort foods hit the oven and ciders, nogs and brews capture our taste buds.

Each Autumn, thousands of annual visitors take to the hills of Eureka all hoping to achieve a breathtaking view of this beautiful renaissance of nature. As the weather cools off, the leaves turn brilliant colors — and subsequently big, vibrant, local events draw thousands to visit.

Welcome to Autumn and welcome to Autumn in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

In this particular blog-post, we bring you three cool car shows that happen here this Autumn.

While in August 26-28, 2022, we experienced the "always loved and always well-attended" VW Weekend, we swiftly transition now into Autumn here in the Ozarks as we rev the engines for three new car-show weekends.

Corvettes, Minis and Porches from miles and miles around take to the curvy streets of our beloved town. <<Click on the links below for event information.>>

Corvette Weekend in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

September 29 - October 2 | Corvette Weekend

This year marks the 30th Annual Celebration of one of America's favorite sports cars.

“No bitter competition, no concours preparation … just a lot of viewing and driving enjoyment. All Corvettes, modified, restored, original or daily driver, from all years, are welcome.” ‘Vette enthusiasts from around the Midwest are revved-up and arrive into Eureka Springs this weekend for one of the three largest non-commercial Corvette events in the U.S.

The highlight is the Saturday car show at Pine Mountain Village (less than two miles south of downtown). Trophies will be awarded in ten categories grouped by model year, as well as Best of Show. The show and other events during the weekend are all free to spectators.

Minis at Beaver Lake in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

MITO tends to be a lovely, low-key event inviting Mini aficionados to gather in Eureka Springs. All the fun starts on Friday with a meet-and-greet at the Convention Center at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks, which serves as the event’s headquarters.

On Saturday, it’s the car show, group photo and mingle at the Great Passion Play parking lot. Please note: this year the Mini parade through downtown Eureka Springs will not take place but minis are sure to be all around town for spectators to enjoy.

MITO has no registration fee.

Porche Parade in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

After canceling the 2020 show, for obvious reasons, this celebration of the legendary German sports car returns for its 15th Anniversary year. In 2005, Porsche Palooza attracted a small but mighty showing of 57 Porsche models.

It didn't take long for word to travel and for the event to grow. In 2019, 350 works of automotive art from all around the country descended on Eureka Springs.

Porsche Palooza includes an extensive schedule of driving tours through the curves and hills of Eureka Springs’ surrounding areas, plus dinners, shows and competitions. An array of models — from vintage classics to modern supercars — will be on display around town, concentrated in the parking lot of the host hotel, the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks.❤️
